Marlowe, Russel

“Russ” Marlowe, age 84, died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was born on July 31, 1937 in Warren, OH to the late James A. and Myrtle Brown Marlowe. Russ was a retired engineer for a construction company. He worked as a dispatcher for Kentucky State Police in Elizabethtown. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army, spent years serving and helping veterans and was a member of the American Legion Post 121 in Bardstown and was of the Baptist faith.

Russ was very proud to have had a part in the movie Elizabethtown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, James Marlowe, Thomas “Tom” Marlowe, Denny Marlowe and Greg Marlowe. He is survived by his wife Kathleen France Marlowe, a half brother, John Gilbert of Georgia, his caregiver, Tonya Unseld of Bardstown, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mr. Russell “Russ” Marlowe will be Thursday December 9, 2021 at 11:00am at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, Bro. Darrell Goodlett officiating, interment will be in Highland Memory Garden in Mount Washington. Friends may call at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday and after 8:30am Thursday morning.
